Worship

Service

Sundays: Our worship service begins at 10am every Sunday morning.

We are not making this up as we go along, but rather stand in a long tradition of Christian worship. This tradition is old, deep, and incredibly timely for our lives today. We sing together, pray, have moments of silence, listen to talk, and are sent out with a blessing called a benediction. You are not obligated or expected to give monetarily when the offering plates are passed. Please be our guest.

After each Sunday worship service we have a drinks and snacks for fellowship. This low-key and informal time is a great way to get to know others and to build community.

Children

Nursery care available for those Pre-K and younger. You may sign your child into nursery before the service or you may do so when the children are dismissed during the service (explained below).

During the worship service the children (5th Grade and Younger) are invited to the front steps of the altar for a short and interesting lesson from our pastor. After their dismissal prayer the children are dismissed and escorted to their Sunday school rooms by their teachers. Each child adapts on their own, so if your child would like to remain in the worship service with you that's perfectly fine.

Children rejoin parents in the fellowship hall downstairs after the service has concluded. On Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of the month), all children except for those in nursery care, will remain in the worship service and will be invited to partake in Holy Communion with the entire congregation.

Youth

We strive to help youth integrate their faith and to become deeply involved in their church. That's why you will see children and youth reading Scripture, praying, and serving in other ways.

Youth need the opportunity to talk and ask questions in a non-judgmental space. That's why after the service our youth group (grades 6-12) meets to discuss what they heard, saw, and experienced during the worship service.

Our youth group meets regularly outside of Sundays for fun events. Please read about our approach to youth ministry under the Ministries Page.

Holy

Communion

The first Sunday of every month we celebrate Holy Communion. You may know it by the name of Communion, Eucharist, or the Lord's Supper. At the Table we are reminded of God's commitment to us and our world to never leave nor forsake, and to empower us to live in ways that honor God. All people and all ages (including children) are invited to participate. Gluten-free bread is available.
